The Ramoji Film City in India is located in Hyderabad. Spread over 1666 acres,it is the largest integrated film city in Telangana and has been certified by the Guinness World Records as the largest studio complex in the world.It was built by Telugu film producer Ramoji Rao in 1996.
Salarjung Museum is one of the three National Museums of India. Originally a private art collection of the Salar Jung family. It has a collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artifacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture.
Golconda Fort, also known as Golkonda is a fortified citadel. Because of the vicinity of diamond mines, especially Kollur Mine, Golconda flourished as a trade centre of large diamonds, known as the Golconda Diamonds. The region has produced some of the world's most famous diamonds, including the colourless Koh-i-Noor (now owned by the United Kingdom), the blue Hope (United States), the pink Daria-i-Noor (Iran), the white Regent (France), the Dresden Green (Germany), and the colourless Orlov (Russia), Nizam and Jacob (India), as well as the now lost diamonds Florentine Yellow, Akbar Shah and Great Mogul.
The Charminar is a monument and mosque located in Hyderabad. The landmark has become known globally as a symbol of Hyderabad and is listed among the most recognized structures in India. The Charminar's long history includes the existence of a mosque on its top floor for more than 400 years.
Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple, built on a 280 feet (85 m) high hillock called Naubath Pahad on a 13 acres. The construction took 10 years and was opened in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission. The temple was constructed by Birla Foundation, which has also constructed several similar temples across India, all of which are known as Birla Mandir.
Birla Planetarium is one of the most modern planetariums of the country. Not just children, this is one of the popular Hyderabad sightseeing places that attracts everyone. This planetarium is the first phase of the Birla Science centre in Hyderabad, which was nothing less than a landmark in bridging the gap between science and the common masses. This dome shaped structure was developed with the technological help from Japan.
Hussain Sagar Lake is a heart-shaped lake. It was built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. The Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is a monolith. It is the world's tallest monolith of Gautama Buddha, erected on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of Hussain Sagar. It is a popular spot for sailing, boating and sightseeing.
