Leh is located in the Indus river valley.
The Nubra Valley is at the base of the Karakorum Range. Within the valley are the Hundar Sand Dunes, well worth seeing.
Ladakh is a mountainous region and a Union Territory in the north India and in the area known as the Trans-Himalaya.
Ladakh is not only home to some of the most beautiful and serene monasteries you'll ever see, but it also a land of rich natural beauty - and it's this natural beauty that hits you so hard because it's a barren beauty.
The village is traditionally divided into three areas- Yul, Farol, Chutang. The residents of Yul and Chutang are primarily Suni and Muwahhid ("Wahabi") muslims, while those residing in Farol are mostly Sufis.
