Sinhagad Fort 2N / 3D

Sinhagad Fort – A Blend of History and Nature Sinhagad Fort, meaning “Lion’s Fort”, is one of Maharashtra’s most iconic hill forts located about 30 km from Pune. Perched at around 1,312 meters (4,304 ft) above sea level, this majestic fort stands as a symbol of valor, especially for its association with the legendary Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare, who sacrificed his life during the battle to recapture the fort in 1670 under the leadership of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort offers a mix of historic ruins, scenic views, and a moderate trekking trail that attracts history lovers, trekkers, and photographers alike. From the top, one can enjoy panoramic views of the Sahyadri mountains, Khadakwasla Dam, and Pune city. Landmarks like Tanaji Kada, Kalyan Darwaja, Pune Darwaja, and Rajaram Maharaj Samadhi are must-visits on the fort.
